Why is a language or voice missing?
Available voices depend on your device and browser. Install a speech voice in your operating system, fully restart the browser, then choose Refresh voices. Adding a language here does not install a voice pack.
How private is this?
Text editing, document import and draft saving run in this browser. Voice entries marked On-device use the browser’s local voice service. Online voices are hidden unless you opt in; those may send text to their provider. Do not save sensitive drafts on a shared device.
